Dales View Sangha
Meditation and Mindfulness following the teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
About the Dales View Sangha
We are a grassroots Sangha with new and experienced practitioners and welcome everyone who wants to develop a mindfulness practice.
Our aspiration is to bring mindfulness, concentration and insight to daily living.
To be mindful means to dwell deeply in the present moment, to be aware of what is going on within and around us.
Practising mindfulness cultivates understanding, love, compassion and joy. This practice helps us to take care of and transform our suffering in our lives and in our society. We warmly welcome anyone willing to practice.
Our gatherings reflect the values of respect and openness. For instance, some members continue to participate with other spiritual traditions.
At our practice sessions Dales View Sangha members are always available to answer questions, explain our practice as well as give pointers in how to meditate.
We do not require that you have a particular religious affiliation; we only ask that you have a desire to practice. It is our hope that you will find the Dales View Sangha, a supportive and nurturing place.
Venue
We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month from 7.30 - 9. 30pm at Gateway to Health, Castle Hill, Settle.
