Settle is a small a bustling market town in one of the most scenic areas of the Yorkshire Dales. Settle is well-known world-wide as the starting point of the Settle-Carlisle Railway and as a gateway to the Three Peaks of Penyghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.
The Gateway to Health clinic is situated in a converted barn which used to be situated in Settle's Market Place before other properties were built in front of it. Now it nestles in a quiet courtyard well away from the heavy quarry traffic that is a near permanent feature of Duke Street, Settle's main throughfare. The building itself is thought to be more than 250 years old, but a recent renovation installed up-to-date features which gives it a very comfortable and welcoming ambiance.
Within the clinic there are two therapy rooms. The downstairs therapy room is for 'talking' therapies, such as homeopathy, EFT and counselling. If required 1-2-1 sessions can be also held here.
The upstairs therapy room is for the 'couch-based' therapies such as acupuncture, massage and reflexology.

The large upstairs workshop room hosts the functions where extra space is needed; Shiatsu, Pilates and Tai Chi Chi Kung are practised here with it being occasionally used for talks, film shows and, of course, the regular meeting of the Buddhist meditation group.
